nudge achieves highest standard of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

We believe financial education should be for all. And removing the barriers to entry is why we are here. That is why accessibility is an essential component in our product design and user-interface development.

Why accessibility matters

Removing barriers to financial education

There are more than a billion people living with disabilities globally, which is roughly 16% of the population. Additionally, 15-20% are neurodivergent.

We believe financial education should be for all, and removing the barriers to entry is why we are here. That is why the nudge platform adheres to the highest accessibility standards from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible.

Our client and trusted partner Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) audits our platform to ensure we comply, most recently we have achieved the highest standard WCAG 2.2 AA.

"The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect."

Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 AA

The guidelines cover recommendations for making web content more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including accommodations for blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these. They also provide some accommodations for learning disabilities and cognitive limitations, and make web content more usable in general. The guidelines address the accessibility of web content on any kind of device, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Examples of the standards nudge follows:

Interactive content that users can move by dragging, is moveable with a "single pointer".

A user doesn’t have to enter the same information more than once during a single journey, unless it is required for security purposes, such as passwords.

Provision of captions and text alternatives for multimedia (video, audio, imagery).

Audio control of auto-play content (video, audio).

Ensuring any time limits on content can be adjusted, turned off or extended.

Content and navigation appears and operates in predictable and consistent ways.
